It has become a welcome Christmas tradition: a joint video message from Archbishop Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada and National Bishop Susan C. Johnson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

"At the heart of the Christmas we celebrate is the story of the birth of Jesus," says Archbishop Hiltz in the video. The two leaders offer Christmas greetings, then read the account of Christ's nativity from the book of Luke.

The year 2011 marks 10 years of full communion between Anglicans and Lutherans in both Canada and the United States.
